I misjudged time badly yesterday. I thought it was Monday, and it was Sunday. I noticed that the town was very quiet for a Monday when I went cycling in the afternoon. But now the festive season is upon us. And everything becomes crazy. It's holiday time, the town is packed to the brim with visitors. I live in the southern hemisphere, so it's summer now. After a year of hard work, it seems people are happy that just for two weeks, their chains have been broken. And it's only for two weeks. They have received their end of year bonuses, now it's celebration time. Now, it's simply spend, spend, spend. Presents, alcohol, barbecues daily, relaxing on the beach. And for those being hosted by the locals, it's an added bonus because they can spend more. Food and alcohol prices are up three times more, the local businesses want to benefit as much as possible. People spend as if they have an endless amount of money, it's scary. It's Christmas time, a time to rejoice, holiday time. Even the weather plays along as if mother nature smiles down on them. But it's the end of year craziness. Me? I don't celebrate Christmas, it's commercialised idolatry. Besides, in the middle of the year, the corporate system decided they don't have work for me anymore. My family and I have been merely surviving since then, barely managing to just pay the rent. Instead of standing at the corner of a street and begging, I have decided to do something to create a better life for me and my family. Hence this website. Everything I learnt so far I had to learn by trial and error, also, to know what people want. What are they prepared to buy from me? I don't expext any handouts. I am in a position to be able to sell just about anything, amazon.com is so huge, so if you want something but you can't find it yourself, just ask, I will find it for you. If it's on my website or not. Only place a comment at the bottom, I regularly read the comments on my blog. And a response would be great also, good or bad, but I don't need unnecessarily rude people there. Have a look on my website, I'm sure you will find something of value to you. I will be adding more stuff soon also.
