Why did I make the main page blue?

Let me xplain: There are three natural worldly colors, blue, green and brown. Blue represents the sea, water, the rivers, Green represents the grass, trees and everything that uses photosynthesis. Brown is the sand, the ground. Those three colors is the content of the earth, and helps everything to grow.

When I see blue, I think tranquility. Like sitting on the beach or next to a flowing river. It gives you feelings of peacefulness, tranquility. The message I want to give on my webiste is "you are welcome in my website". And I mean it. I want people to linger in my website, have a look around, discover for yourself how I designed it. Blue is also easy on your eyes, not like somethings that puts a strain on your eyes, causing you to want to just get out. Like bright colors. With bright colors, I get this impression: "See what you want, do what you want to do, and get out". I know I never linger on a website using bright colors.
